The Stan’s Crest rim has been an iconic item for cross country riders for many years now. It’s still a mainstay in the Stan’s lineup, and the MK3’s have made it even better too.

The internal width of the rim has expanded to 23mm to give better stability for larger volume XC tyres. (It’s designed for 2.0-2.25 inch tyres.) By utilising a higher quality 6069 aluminium alloy, widening the rim and employing a low profile shape, the Crest MK3 is stronger, stiffer and lighter – 16g on a 29er rim. The Crest MK3 still employs Stan’s now-legendary Bead Socket Technology that allows the tyre to achieve maximum volume. This increases traction while minimising pinch flats and rolling resistance. They tubeless up a treat too!

The new Stan’s NEO hubs are fully CNC machined, and engage nice and quick – every 10 degrees. The Neo hubs are also compatible with most axle and freehub standards. A wider bearing stance, oversized bearings, swaged axle and high-quality internals mean the NEO hubs will be rolling smoothly for years to come.
